From an early age Faye attended dance classes, and she was hooked! When Faye found pole dancing in 1998 she loved how her dance ability allowed her to move so freely around a pole. After many years of self taught pole dancing Faye began to look for classes, and sadly couldn’t find many, so Faye bought a Pole for her home and practiced there. With Faye’s dance and fitness background, it wasn’t long before she got better and clubs and friends started to ask her to teach them. She set up Pole Fit in 2005, due to the demand and she was excited to introduce what was then a new dance and fitness craze. Faye devised her own syllabus which suited her style of teaching and everyone loved it (she still has students from 2005! or many have gone onto opening their own pole school). In 2006 Faye opened her own studio in Longton, Stoke on trent, one of the few at that time in the UK. It was a busy and very proud year. Pole Fit started with classes 2 nights a week, and not long after it was open every night including weekends. Faye started to take on Pole Fit instructors which she trained in house, Rebecca Durber was Faye’s first Instructor and she is still at Pole Fit today! Faye also started up classes in Nantwich and Crewe in Cheshire. Faye was missing the performing side to dance/pole, so early 2009 she wrote a list of ‘thing’s to do’, one was to provide a means for the Pole Fit students to perform/compete. Another was to find a BIGGER studio. In 2009, Faye certainly stepped up the performances. In May 2009, she performed alongside three other Pole Dancers on Britains Got Talent as a backing dancer for DJ Talent! This was massive in the Pole world, the whole pole community were behind them! A week later Faye’s first Pole Fit Dance show happened at The Victoria Hall Theatre in Stoke on Trent, many people hadn’t seen Pole Dance before, and were amazed what they could do. Faye started to compete this year too, and made it as a Miss Pole Dance Uk finalist. The next year 2010, Faye concentrated on her dance troupe, the Pole Fit Performers, they got to the shortlist on Got to Dance! and opened Pole Divas Final 2010, which include the Triple death lay. Faye continued to put on shows in which her students and instructors could showcase their talents, they were a huge success and bought many friends together. After Pole Fits huge success, Faye and Becky had been training other disciplines and found aerial Silks and Lyra (hoop). The studio was kitted out for aerial and after their training they started to teach students. Everyone has fallen in love with aerial and it has become as popular as pole. Pole Fit was growing fast……. The studio now has a huge main pole area with fixed poles spin and static of different diameters, a huge aerial area with silks, lyra, cube and stage poles, the trapeze is still to be up! A practice area, with a mini gym and a private tuition area tucked away with different x poles in. At the studio there is also Daimond Teese Burlesque. There is always improvements being made to the studio, and Faye is so very proud of it, warts and all! The next project is to find a BIGGER studio in Cheshire!!! Faye hopes she will see you soon at one of the classes.
Becky started attending Pole-Fit courses in 2006, coming from a sporty background it wasnt long before she showed interest in teaching Pole-Fit. Becky went on to take her Exercise to Music instructor and passed with flying colours. She started teaching at Faye's new Pole-Fit studio in Longton in 2007. Since then Becky has taught thousands of women and men how to pole dance. She teaches all pole course levels at Pole-Fit. Becky's other passion is hula hoop, she started to teach hula hoop courses in 2008. The courses have been a huge success. Becky has performed pole and hula at many shows for Pole Fit, she is a true performer that comes alive on stage. Becky competed in 2010 at professional level, and was fantastic. She is a member of the Pole Fit Performers Dance Troupe, and competed on Sky Ones 'Got to Dance'. Faye is very proud of Becky's achievements, and has given Becky the title of Head Instructor, other instructors, troupe members, and students all have been inspired by Becky's commitment, work ethic, pole ability, teaching standard and professionalism!!

I have been dancing for 22 years and have been teaching for the last 9 and I still love it to this day. I started off doing ballet and tap at the age of 3 and as I got older I started learning different styles. Upon leaving school I went to study dance at college and started teaching street dance and musical theatre at local dance studios and schools. I also attended dance classes at Pineapple Dance Studios , London, from time to time. Alongside teaching and training I started to perform at lots of events. I have performed at the Signal One's Music Events, Alton Tower's fireworks displays, Stoke City Football matches and at numerous dance events and shows throughout Europe and even had the chance to perform at an event in America. I have also competed in numerous dance competitions worldwide and have gained 2 European titles and came 3rd in the UCWDC World Championships in NashVille Tennesse, America back in 2005. My best Pole achievement is wining Miss Pole Dance 2012 semi pro, and I am looking forward to competing in the future. I love all aspects of dance and it is and always will be a major part of my life.

Paul had worked in NHS since he was 18, and had never taken a dance class. Then in 2011 some friends persuaded him to go to a street dance class at Pole Fit. After feeling awkward and very stupid, he soon settled in with help from the instructor and all the other students. Paul was delighted to perform for the first time in the Pole Fit Showcase of 2011, he remembers that feeling of just wanting to go on and do it all again! At that after show party an instructor ask him to climb a pole, and to his surprise, he did… and so Paul started to take Pole classes, where he moved up to advanced level very quickly , which was due to his natural strength. Paul bravely auditioned to join the Pole Fit Troupe in 2012, and is still performing with them today! Paul was a natural at Aerial Dance, with his strength and stamina, he worked his way up the aerial levels at Pole Fit and then started to train as an instructor early 2013. In August 2013, Paul taught his first ever Aerial class, he had found what he describes ‘as what I am meant to do’. Two of Paul’s aerial groups have performed in the Pole Fit shows, December 2013 and June 2014, he was so proud to have created the pieces and then to watch his students progress them onto the stage! Paul has ceased his full time day job, to pursue performing and teaching. Paul competed as a Pole Solo artist for the first time in the final of Mr Pole Dance UK 2014 and has now caught the competing bug…. Watch this space!

Hollie started pole dancing around four years ago, and instantly fell in love with it. It is here where she discovered her natural flexibility. Hollie soon began teaching the stretch techniques which had worked for her and which she had learnt from study and research, then putting into practice. Following success with students and their levels of flexibility, Hollie taught 'masterclasses' in stretch and contortion, travelling around the UK and Ireland to many different studios, performing along the way. Hollie constantly wants to improve and learn more knowledge and try out different techniques of stretching. Hollie strives to make classes educational; to teach people what muscles they are stretching, why they stretch as we do, and how to transfer this safely to be able to stretch at home. Hollie's classes are suitable for varying levels of flexibility and can adapt stretches to suit the individual, so each class is tailored and unique.
